Project 118 Youth Ranch: "When a group of concerned parents and community leaders met in November 2000 to find a better way to help high-risk teens, they wanted to begin by opposing any labels. Even naming the organization risked stigmatizing the families who would participate. The conference room was numbered 118, so by infusing simplicity with great meaning Project (one-eighteen) was created.

Project 118 Children's Services Society is a privately funded, non-profit organization registered under the Societies Act of Alberta, and as a Charity under the Income Tax Act."
